Luciana Ramirez
Japanese Teacher
I have been 4+ years studying this beautiful language.
My classes have an approach where ALL the elements of Japanese come in together.
Kanji, grammar, reading, conversation, phonetics... etc. in order to become fluent and understand the language, we must incorporate all of these factors.
I have taught over 3000 students on online platforms with different methods, tools and approaches.
A Bit About Me

After finishing high school, I got into college to pursue medicine. I studied for about 1.5 years when the evil COVID-19 stroke. The economic impact it had made me drop out of college, and needless to say, I was heartbroken.
My dreams of becoming a neurologist were completely shattered and felt hopeless for a while. I then decided to join the Red Cross and to, naturally, study Japanese. (a crazy butterfly effect, cause now I live in Tokyo!)

I'm Luciana, I work as an artist, model and of course, as a teacher. I was lucky enough to be born in Mexico City and try to share the beauty of my culture and the warmth of my people every time I get the chance here, in Tokyo.
I'm someone that loves to learn. It doesn't matter if It's how to do CPR correctly or how Buddhism got introduced to Japan. I am passionate about art, music, horror movies and the view from the train I take every day to work.
I have been teaching since 2018, and I intend to keep doing it for as long as I can.

I had to save money by working in very different fields. Started in digital marketing which opened the doors to work as a content creator, project manager, social media etc.
I then became an English and Spanish teacher, provided translation/ interpretation services, and even worked as an assistant for a tattoo artist!
These experiences continue to help me grow and discover new things every day, for which I feel very thankful :)
